Warsaw offers rich and unique shopping experience. It is probably less known than some European counterparts, but since recent times provides comprehensive retail therapy for those who want to embark on it in less famous, though equally decent settings.

The main shopping streets are the restored ulica Chmielna, elegant Nowy Swiat, ulica Marszalkowska and aleje Jerozolimskie. Shopping arcades became very popular. Polish leather is very popular in the world, it can be found even in New York stores, competing with Italian one.

In the popular Praga District next to Poniatowskiego Bridge is located the largest European flea market, called the Russian Market. It sells various useful and completely useless items, Soviet oddities, leather goods, fur coats, bootleg CDs and various trinkets. It opens daily from 0600, one should come early for best deals.
