Warsaw sport facilities are designed both for spectators and participants. As for spectator sport, football provides some decent shows. Legia Warszawa, an army club with nationwide popularity, plays at at Stadion Wojska Polskiego. Polonia, their close rival, enjoys slightly lesser popularity, but boasts League championship in 2000.

Vistula River provides many possibilities for boating, sailing, rowing, catamaran sports.
